Who I am
Eleanor Dillon
DPS, NCPS Acc., Psychotherapist
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, which essentially means that I can use a variety of approaches which are best suited to you as a person and the reason that you have chosen to reach out now. I believe that the individual in front of me should feel like they have agency over their treatment and feel comfortable to be able to discuss whatever comes up for them.
I completed my Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Practice with Chrysalis Courses, which consisted of 3 years training and a placement with a counselling service in Feltham. Since then, I have been working online and face to face with people in my practice near Woking, Surrey.
I have previously worked for Children and Family Health Surrey and have gained experience and knowledge when working with families. I have knowledge and a keen interest in working with people who are neurodiverse, or have children or a partner that is neurodiverse.
I also have experience in the charity sector working with adults with many different and enduring mental health problems. I believe that our wellbeing is influenced by both our minds and body and work holistically to pinpoint specific areas that can be improved upon. One particular area I focus on is our ability to regulate ourselves in moments of overwhelm. I like to concentrate on what can lead us to feeling disregulated and specific tools and strategies that can help.
I believe that with the right approach and understanding, people can overcome many difficulties and struggles. If you have a specific area of concern, please contact me to see how I can support you or book a free 20 minute telephone consultation.
